How to get here
- From Mariscal Lamar Airport
4.7 km, about 15–20 minutes by car. We can arrange an airport pickup for an extra fee.
- From Guayaquil
About 3.5 hours by road through Cajas National Park.
- By car
Coming from Guayaquil or southern Ecuador, reach Avenida 12 de Abril and drive downstream along the river. Coming from the airport or northern Ecuador, drive upstream until you reach Otorongo.
Quiet at night, close to everything by day
Wake up to the sound of the Tomebamba, walk along the riverside path into town, and come home to a garden full of hummingbirds.
